Day 4: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Character Introduced:

  • Henry Powell (Robertson Dean): A man who does something for Marwan involving the briefcase. It’s never explained what he does but his existence is very important for the next few hours.

Returning Characters:

Nothing

Key Moments:

  • Driscoll has to swallow her pride, finally, and lie to the cop to get Jack out of his imminent arrest. Jack cuts through the bullshit and tells Erin that they need to work together. Jack coordinates on the ground and tells Erin that they need to remove any paperwork on the car Hasan stole last hour.
  • Heller turns the discussion to suicide. He then asks Audrey to choke him to death with their handcuffs! Heller rules. Audrey cries and says she can’t do it but she spots a gas pipe that could kill them both. She kicks the valve until it breaks.
  • Jack is pissed that Driscoll arrested Chloe but can’t do anything about it right now. Driscoll realizing, once again, that this was all her fault offers Chloe the ability to resign without sanction.
  • While wrapping Debbie’s body in a carpet, Dina shoots the corpse to fool Navi into thinking Behrooz did the deed.
  • Chloe takes the time in her slow walk out of CTU to make fun of Sarah for her shitty hacking and shares an awkward goodbye with Edgar.
  • Hasan continues to have a conspicuously bad day. He honks at a truck not moving at a stop sign and a bunch of thugs hop out to threaten him. A cop car pulls up to quell any violence, but Jack starts freaking out about the stolen car APB. The cop who runs Hasan’s plates sees the APB and hops out of the car but gets a call to ignore it. He sends Hasan on his way but Hasan realizes that he should have been arrested.
  • Hasan calls Omar to discuss what just happened. Eventually Omar tells him what to do, listening in on the call Jack tells everyone to arrest Hasan. They aren’t in time because Hasan drives his truck dead on into a cement truck.
  • In a last chance attempt to find Heller, Jack tells Edgar to do thermal scans of the area.
  • Maya is brought in to CTU medical.
  • Henry is working on the briefcase for Omar. While this is going on, Omar smells the gas and pulls Heller and Audrey out. When Audrey is revived, she spots and recognizes Henry.
  • Edgar locates the construction site and sends it to Jack.
  • When Jack arrives at the site, Driscoll informs him that Keeler has given the go ahead for an aerial strike instead of a rescue attempt.
  • Heller’s internet trail begins.
  • Knowing he only has 10 minutes until site is bombed, Jack gears up and heads in over Erin’s objections.

Ridiculousness:

  • Why is it okay for Erin to use the CTU medical resources to store her handicapped daughter?
