Characters Introduced:

• Laurent Dubaku (Arjay Smith): Dubaku’s son who is a shitty lookout.

Returning Characters:

• Benjamin Juma (24: Redemption)

Key Moments:

• Dubaku is under guard at the hospital, but an orderly sneaks up and injects him with something that causes Dubaku to flat line.
• Juma is in DC and talks with Dubaku’s son about the mission they are prepping.
• The orderly calls Juma and tells him that Dubaku has been taken care of. Renee runs in to see the doctor call Dubaku’s time of death.
• Chloe gets a call from Jack and he updates her on what Tony told him. He asks her to remove Burnett’s name from the list so he can question him. She does does it right before Janis walks in.
• Tony drops Jack off at the White House and tries to get Jack to involve Bill in his plan. Jack says he doesn’t want to drag anyone down with him.
• Ethan speaks with Burnett and Mayer. He makes the pitch for leniency in regards to Jack Bauer. It turns into political games.
• Jack walks into Bill’s office, knocks out the guard, and puts his gun on Bill. Jack tells him that he is looking for Burnett but Bill won’t give it up. Bill pleads with Jack to find another way because Taylor is trying to help him. Jack finds Burnett using Bill’s computer and tells him that he is doing this to protect him. He politely puts the choke on Bill. Jack grabs a stun gun off the unconscious soldier.
• Renee calls Larry with Dubaku’s death and tells him that she doesn’t think it was an accident.
• Janis figures out that a name was deleted from the list. Chloe tells Jack to hurry.
• Burnett and Mayer discuss how to politically sabotage any pardon Taylor gives Jack. Mayer leaves to meet with the President. Burnett calls Juma with an update.
• Jack walks in and stuns Burnett.
• Janis informs Larry of what Chloe did. Larry has Chloe removed.
• Larry interrupts Taylor’s meeting with Mayer to tell her what Jack is doing.
• Jack is still repeatedly shocking Burnett. He denies knowing anything. Jack explains that he knows what he is doing and knows when someone is lying. Burnett starts talking but Jack is interrupted by a call from Taylor telling him to stand down. Jack steps it up to get the target out of him but soldiers blow through the door before Burnett spills. Mayer is cocky as shit but Jack tells him that the imminent attack is on his head. Taylor wants Jack’s source so he tells her that it is Tony Almeida. Mayer scoffs again but Jack responds by saying he is weak and doesn’t have the stomach to look evil in the eye. Taylor speaks with Ethan out in the hall. Ethan defends Jack but she has him arrested. She yells at Jack but he asks her if she would have done anything to help him if he brought this to her first. At least Taylor rips Mayer for Burnett being a part of his staff.
• After realizing that Burnett is their only way to stop Juma’s attack, Taylor tells him that he will be charged with treason. Burnett says he will never talk so Ethan offers him the standard immunity. He still won’t relent. She tells him that she will have him executed but he just asks for his lawyer.
• Renee follows Juma’s man all the way to the rest of Juma’s unit. She calls Larry with the update.
• Juma tells Laurent that he will be left behind for recon duty.
• Renne calls Larry and tells him that Juma is leading the attack.
• Juma and his team hop on a boat and Renee stows aboard. She loses her gun and fries her cell in the water.
• Bill is awake and calls Tony. He is pissed and wants more details. Tony tells him that his source is dead. He tells Bill that the back-up plan was the immunity deal.
• Larry is in the air and can’t get in contact with Renee.
• Juma and his team hop into the water leaving Laurent behind on the boat. Renee sneaks in and looks over Juma’s maps. She realizes that the White House is the target. Laurent spots her and she dives into the water.
• Juma’s underwater assault of the White House begins.
