Characters Introduced:

• Lugo Elson (Tony Curran): Vladimir’s lead enforcer and the one smart enough to not trust Renee.
• Vladimir Laitanan (Callum Keith Rennie): The psychotic Russian mobster Renee targets to find the nuclear rods. The second Battlestar Gallactica veteran who gets a smaller role but Leoben comes away looking much better than Starbuck.
• Nick Coughlin (Michael Filipowich): Kevin’s thug partner.
• Dr. Joel Levine (Eli Goodman): The poor radiation specialist that Josef choose to treat his brother.

Key Moments:

• A general in the fake country tells Farhad that their conspiracy is falling apart with Hassan’s survival but Farhad tells him the weapons will change everything.
• Sergei and Josef watch Oleg suffer. Josef wants to take his brother to a clinic but his father says it is too dangerous with the deal they are doing. Josef switches gears and asks to take his brother somewhere more comfortable to die. Sergei agrees. Farhad tells Sergei that the money will be transferred when the rods are ready. Sergei sends him some whores to pass the time.
• Jack and Renee are arguing over her mauling of Ziya. She convinces him that this was the only way to get her undercover. Jack leaves before Ziya wakes up. He screams when he looks at his hand but Renee calms him down with the promise of millions of dollars. He agrees to take her to Vladimir.
• Rob tells Taylor and Ethan about the uranium. Ethan counters by informing them of Hassan’s crackdown in his own fake country. Taylor wants to speak to Hassan as soon as possible.
• Renee and Ziya are on the road and he brings up some sort of incident between Renee and Vladimir from the past. Jack asks Chloe to look into what happened.
• Taylor meets with Hassan and he defends the purges within his country. She asks him to find another way.
• While on the road, Josef tells Oleg that he found a doctor that can treat him. Their father is against it but Josef won’t let his brother die.
• Dalia is bitching about Omar to her Kayla. Then bitches to Omar directly when he enters the room. He asks her to stay and help him now that his brother has turned on him. She refuses, packs her shit, and leaves.
• Renee and Ziya arrive at a warehouse and she asks him to speak to Vladimir first to prepare him before meeting her. She and Jack use the time to speak but she just yells at him when he asks about her relationship to Vladimir. They confirm their cover. Lugo checks Ziya before Vladimir walks into the room. Vladimir nails him with a gun but ZIya spits out Renee’s offer. Lugo doesn’t like Renee and thinks she turned them in years ago. Vladimir wants to speak to Renee.
• Dana goes home to find Kevin and Nick waiting for her. I still don’t care.
• Ziya tells Renee to come inside.
• Chloe updates Jack on what happened between Renee and Vladimir. He beat the shit out of her and attempted to rape her. Jack tells Chloe that Renee attempted to kill herself recently and he thinks she is putting herself in harm’s way on purpose.
• Lugo checks Renee then sends her over to Vladimir. He pushes her to prove her Mexican cover. She passes with flying colors but he still ties her up and tosses her and Ziya in the trunk of a car. Jack losses contact with her. A car leaves the warehouse and Jack starts tracking it. He tells Chloe he will need support to assault an armored car.
• Josef brings Oleg into Dr. Levine’s office. He tells the doctor that he has people at his home and they will kill his family if he doesn’t treat his brother. Josef explains that Oleg was exposed to weapons grade uranium.
• Lugo pulls the car over and Vladimir gets his gun ready. Jack is confused because the car he is following is still on the highway. Chloe figures out that a second car left the building 5 minutes later. DAMNIT! Jack pulls a 180 and speeds off. Ziya and Renee are put on their knees. Vladimir gives Renee one last chance to explain what she is hiding from him. Ziya is killed and Renee tells him to pull the trigger. He wants an answer and she starts telling him about how much her life sucks and how she wants to die. Vladimir puts his gun down. Jack tells Hastings to have the assault teams stand down.
