- Bill Prady (Stephen Root): What the fucking fuck? One of my favorite actors out there is brought on to one of my favorite shows ever for this? Jimmy James deserved better.

- What the fudge? How did Marcos draw that schematic on the wall so fast? And how did he get it so detailed? Whatever black magic he used, Marcos is now playing with the wires on his vest.
- Jack is told that it will take 40 minutes to drill into the chamber. This isn’t an option because Owen shows Jack that Marcos is rewiring his vest and his plan will work. Jack calls Hastings and Chloe and tells them to bring the mother to the hospital. After the call, Hastings spots Cole and Dana reentering CTU.
- Cole and Dana argue the whole way to the floor but stop when Hastings is waiting for them. He reads them the riot act but he needs them to do their jobs. Dana will now answer to Chloe and Cole is sent to pick up Elaine.
- Ali is watching the hospital and calls Samir with the update on Marcos and CTU.
- Owen tells Jack the intercom is working again. Jack and Marcos discuss detonating nuclear devices in NYC. Marcos tells him that he came here to die and gets back to working on the vest.
- Tarin and Kayla are in bed instead of answering Dalia’s calls.
- Dalia is back at the UN and goes right back to bitching at Omar. She rips him for his paranoia and for arresting Tarin with no evidence. He gives his word that he will fix this.
- Elaine is in the middle of packing when Cole knocks on her door. After indentifying himself, Elaine lets him in. CTU rushes in and searches her place. Elaine says her son told her to leave the city; Cole responds by saying Marcos is wearing a bomb vest.
- After getting ripped apart by Hastings again, Dana gets a call from a probation officer named Bill Prady looking for Kevin Wade.
- Cole delivers Elaine to Jack and she is told what Marcos has done and what he plans to do. Jack brings her in the room and Ali updates Samir. When Elaine gets on the intercom, Marcos screams for Jack to leave the room. She pleads to understand why and they argue over his dead father. Chloe tells Hastings that someone has tapped into the hospital feeds. Jack is told and he sends Owen into motion. Marcos does not fall for his mother’s begging and Cole drags Elaine out of the room. Owen cuts the feed and Jack walks back to the intercom. We get a classic Jack moment as he tells Marcos that he will personally assure that his mother will die from the radiation from the blast site because he will drag her there. Marcos doesn’t believe Jack would do that but Jack says if he knew who Jack was he wouldn’t question that. That does the trick as Marcos pleads for his mother’s life and opens the door. Jack gets to work on the vest. Ali calls Samir and tells him Marcos is out of the chamber but the vest has been armed. Ali triggers the failsafe and Jack tells Cole to clear the area. Jack asks Marcos for information and Marcos gives him Tarin’s name. Marcos wants his mother to know he is sorry and Jack throws him back into the chamber. He doesn’t close the door in time so he is blown across the room.
- Jack is already back on his feet and calling Hassan. He tells him about Tarin and Hassan tells him about his daughter. Jack asks them to continue to try to contact Kayla.
- Kayle finally answers her mother’s call and she is given the update. She doesn’t believe her mother but does give them the hotel. Tarin walks in and Kayla covers. Jack and Cole head out.
