Characters Introduced:
- Frank (Edoardo Ballerini): Dan’s brother who, instead of being stupid like Dan, is some sort of psychopath who set up a deal with money Dan was supposed to make on the kidnapping. Totally relevant to the overall story being told.
- Teddy Hanlin (Kirk Baltz): Just an asshole CTU agent who let’s his hatred of Jack get in the way of doing his job. That is some great hiring policies Counter Terrorist Unit.
- David holds a meeting with Sherry and Mike about the recording Keith made of Carl. Mike says it will be good leverage; Sherry transforms into the real Sherry and demands that they destroy the tape because no good can come from it.
- Nina finds a suitcase of bearer bonds in Alexis’ room, so Jack decides to impersonate Alexis at his meeting. While setting up the meeting, CTU sends Teddy Hanlin as back-up. This is a problem because Jack sent Teddy’s partner to jail for being crooked. Teddy has not gotten over this.
- David hands Patty a package then walks out of the hotel suite. Sherry watches all of this and immediately heads to the safe that Patty locked the package away in. Later on David comes back to talk to Sherry about Keith and the tape. Sherry gives him shit about the situation and says she has fixed it. David finds the tape missing and looks disappointed. He was testing Sherry. He had the real tape the whole time and immediately moves to have a press conference with or without Sherry’s support.
- At Alexis’ meeting, a man shows up and tells Jack that he will be cutting power in some section of the LA area. When the man runs because he realizes Jack isn’t Alexis, Teddy shoots and kills him against Jack’s orders.
- The second hour of Teri’s amnesiac adventure includes freaking out when Dr. Parslow even mentions going to the hospital, Dr. Parslow actually diagnosing her with amnesia, Teri petulantly demanding to be driven home, Jovan, a CTU agent, and Dr. Parslow and Teri arrive at the Bauer household all at the same time.
