Characters Introduced:

• Maya Driscoll (Angela Goethals): Driscoll’s mentally challenged daughter and yes this will become a storyline this season.

Key Moments:

• Jack’s training is put to good use as he robs the shit out of the convenience store. He blocks the cameras, takes everyone hostage, bags all the cell phones, and kicks Hasan before taking his gun. Chloe tells him that she needs 10 more minutes.
• When the owner opens the safe for Jack and there is very little money, Jack hints that he is there to rob the armored truck that will arrive around noon.
• Heller and Audrey reveal that the Secretary has some sort of heart condition.
• Chloe enlists Edgar’s help in gaining access to the necessary satellites. This is CTU where no one really works, so Marianne sees this happen.
• Heller starts screaming at the guard. He gets louder and louder until he keels over. Audrey yells for help and the 2 of them jump the guard and make a break for it. Heller is skilled with a gun and takes out 2 guards before Omar surrounds them with the rest of his thugs.
• Jack begins to improvise for an armored truck robbery, when Hasan comes at him with bug spray. Jack easily takes him down. The next problem he has to deal with is a cop making the rounds trying to get into the store. Jack has the owner lie but that fails so Jack just takes the cop hostage.
• Dina and Navi agree that Behrooz should be the one to kill Debbie.
• There is a call coming in on the cop’s radio and when Jack tries to get him to get rid of the dispatcher the store owner screams for help. Jack is pissed.
• Dina sends Behrooz in to kill Debbie and when he fails to kill her, Debbie falls dead from poison that Dina already put in her drink.
• The cops have surrounded the convenience store and Jack professionally handles the negotiator until Chloe gives him the okay. Jack puts the ski mask back on and grabs Hasan. He takes Hasan out at gunpoint and uses him as a human shield and casually walks to Hasan’s car. Hasan drives off with Jack in the back. Eventually Jack tells him to run and takes his car and drives off.
• Maya does something crazy causing Driscoll to have to deal with her during a national crisis.
• Curtis finds Jack using DOD’s satellites. Driscoll arrests Chloe and yells at Jack. Jack explains that he is tracking Hasan and he will lead them to Heller but Driscoll blows him off and hangs up. Seconds later, Hasan does exactly what Jack says and CTU listens to Hasan’s call to Omar saying that he will be there in 30 minutes.
• Marianne begins blackmailing Edgar.
• Driscoll realizes she is worthless and tells CTU to follow Jack’s plan.
• A phalanx of cops stops Jack.

Ridiculousness:

• Erin’s mentally challenged daughter, Maya, is introduced. This is a horrific plot where a woman who’s job demands that she be on call at all hours and for days at a time does not have multiple backup plans when her handicapped daughter acts up.
